Raising Awareness in the Communities We Serve
Trulieve supports epilepsy awareness and fundraising events throughout the year. Through these efforts, we help raise awareness, support advocacy initiatives, and bring hope to individuals and families affected by epilepsy. Take a look at where we've been and where we're headed next.
Arizona:
On November 8, Trulieve will attend the 6th Annual Epilep-TEA in Scottsdale, benefitting the Epilepsy Foundation Arizona. The event honors advocates and raises critical funds for programs supporting the more than 77,000 Arizonans living with epilepsy. Trulieve is proud to participate as a community sponsor again this year.
Florida:
Trulieve partnered with the Epilepsy Association of Central Florida to support epilepsy awareness and community initiatives throughout the year. In March, the Florida team participated in the Orlando "Chuck Carmen" Walk for Epilepsy and will continue to support the organization’s mission at these upcoming events.
October 3 – Ocala Women’s Expo at Paddock Mall in Ocala, FL
October 12 – The 49th Annual Epilepsy Association "Autoclassic" Golf Tournament & Auction in Celebration, FL
November 7 – The 2026 Brevard Walk for Epilepsy & Purple Picnic in Indian Harbor Beach, FL
Georgia:
In July, Trulieve attended the Angels of Epilepsy Health Fair & Seminar in Atlanta.
Dr. Tiffani Forbes of Better Health Wellness and Trulieve Georgia Clinical Director Dr. Shoshanna Robinson joined the team to share information and answer questions about Georgia's medical cannabis program. Their discussion was especially relevant for attendees, as epilepsy is one of the program’s qualifying conditions.

The Epilepsy Association of Western and Central PA (EAWCP) hosts annual Family Fun Run/Walk events to raise funds and support local seizure-awareness programs.
This summer, Trulieve's Pennsylvania team participated in events in Pittsburgh on June 20 and Harrisburg on August 1, helping raise awareness and support individuals and families affected by epilepsy.
Empowering Patients, Inspiring Hope: Supporting Epilepsy Awareness
Epilepsy affects an estimated 3.4 million people in the United States, and many individuals continue to experience seizures despite available treatment options. Organizations like the Epilepsy Foundation provide valuable education, resources, and support to help patients and caregivers navigate the challenges of living with the condition.
In many of the markets Trulieve serves, epilepsy and seizure disorders are qualifying conditions for medical cannabis programs, providing eligible patients with access to additional therapeutic options under the guidance of their healthcare providers.
Together We Can Make a Difference
Trulieve is proud to partner with the Epilepsy Foundation, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders. Through advocacy, education, community programs, and funding for critical research, the organization works to raise awareness, advance treatment options, and enhance the quality of life for millions of individuals and families impacted by epilepsy.
In September, patients and customers in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, and Maryland were able to support this mission by rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar or donating a specific amount at the register. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference.
One initiative supported by these donations is Camp Candlelight, an overnight summer camp hosted by the Epilepsy Foundation Arizona. The camp provides children and teens living with epilepsy with a safe, supportive environment where they can enjoy traditional camp activities while building confidence, independence, and lasting friendships.
We were honored to host Bernice Martin Lee, CEO of the Epilepsy Foundation, along with members of the organization’s executive leadership team, at our Scottsdale office. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss our partnership and explore ways to further support the epilepsy community. Together, we believe our collaborative efforts can make a meaningful and lasting impact.
