How To: Infusing TruClear For Recipes

Infusing TruClear into everyday dishes is easier than you might think!

Infusing THC in Cooking

THC is stored in your body's fatty tissues. THC naturally binds to fats, so when cooking with cannabis it is important to remember to infuse the THC into an oil. Binding THC to a fat while cooking will ensure consistent dosing in the finished product. Keep reading to learn how.

No confusion when it comes to TruClear infusions!

TruClear is already activated (or decarbed), making it an easy option for infusing into ingredients. Before TruClear, many patients would decarb their flower and soak it in a fat (oil, butter, etc.) on low heat for a period of time to extract the THC. Using TruClear will help you save time and extra steps when creating your next THC-infused recipe!

PRO TIP: Lecithin can also be added to your recipes to help increase bioavailability, but this is optional. Lecithin is a phospholipid (a type of fat) that enables certain ingredients to bind together that may normally reject each other. For cannabis specifically, Lecithin has been used to prevent oil separation and encapsulate the molecule, helping to extend the shelf life of your THC-infused ingredients!

Dosing can be confusing, but a simple formula can help.

Another wonderful thing about using TruClear is the active THC milligrams are printed on the syringe! This makes dosing a LOT easier. Remember, when it comes to concentrates and edibles, start low and go slow. Even if you are a seasoned cannabis user, ingesting THC is a different experience than inhalation. When THC is ingested, it is processed by your liver rather than your lungs and is routed throughout the endocannabinoid system differently. Effects might take up to 2 hours, depending on how fast your body digest things, which means onset time may vary from patient to patient. When increasing a dosage of edibles, be sure to wait the full two hours to see how your body reacts to the medication.

To find the correct dosing each serving has, use this fool-proof formula:

Total TruClear milligrams ÷ servings = amount of milligrams per serving

To find how much TruClear you need to achieve a specific amount per serving, use this formula:

Servings x preferred dose of each= Total amount of TruClear milligrams needed.
