Trulieve Register Rollup Supports our Partners Mission [Green]
Trulieve is proud to partner with Mission [Green] to raise funds for the thousands of Americans still serving time for cannabis-related offenses. Together, we're working to grow awareness and empower our community of patients, customers, and supporters to help right the injustices caused by outdated laws and the failed war on cannabis.
What is Mission Green?
Mission [Green] is a national initiative powered by The Weldon Project, which was created to support individuals disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition. The Weldon Project was founded by Weldon Angelos, a former music producer sentenced to 55 years in federal prison for a nonviolent cannabis offense. After receiving a full pardon from President Trump in 2020, Weldon works tirelessly towards criminal justice reform and second-chance advocacy.
Despite the legalization of cannabis in many states, thousands remain incarcerated for offenses that are no longer considered crimes. This disparity highlights systemic issues within the justice system and underscores the need for comprehensive reform.
Mission [Green] works to address the human impact and collateral consequences of cannabis arrests and convictions through targeted initiatives, including:
- Securing clemency and expungement for nonviolent cannabis offenses
- Providing commissary support to currently incarcerated individuals
- Advocating for legislative reforms to correct the injustices of prohibition
Roll Up and Give Back
As part of our Register Rollup initiative throughout June and July, you can choose to "roll up" your total to the nearest dollar at checkout, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Mission [Green]. You can also make a meaningful donation of any amount in addition to your rollup.
Trulieve customers and patients in Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, and Maryland can easily support Mission [Green]—and the individuals it supports—when they visit our stores.
Supporting Mission [Green] with Trulieve
As an active advocacy organization, Mission [Green] also partners with cannabis businesses like Trulieve to raise awareness and funds for the cause. By giving back at the register, you'll help contribute to Mission [Green's] efforts:
- Correcting historical injustices related to cannabis laws.
- Promoting equitable opportunities within the cannabis industry.
- Fostering community engagement in social justice initiatives.
We're inviting patients, customers, and the broader community to participate in our Register Rollup and shared campaigns to raise money for the cause towards cannabis justice and clemency. Every contribution helps pave the way for a more just and equitable future in cannabis legislation and industry practices.
