The West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition (WCGCC), a not-for-profit, 501(c) (3) organization presents the 16th Paint the Town Pink 5k Fun Walk/Run, our annual fundraiser. This event benefits the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Cancer Assistance Fund. This fund was established to assist eligible individuals and families in our community who have been diagnosed with cancer and are currently receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy or radiation treatment. 100% of proceeds remain within our community. Get those teams together and let’s “Paint the Town Pink”. Runners will be timed, and this race can help with qualifications for other races.

Trulieve will be sponsoring the Paint The Town Pink Walk/Run in Columbus, GA. Trulieve representatives will have a booth on site, educating attendees on Georgia's Low THC Oil program, Trulieve products, and how to obtain a Low THC Oil card. Educational materials and Trulieve branded swag will be given out to attendees.

Bridge Day is West Virginia's largest single-day festival and one of the largest extreme sports events in the world.

Held annually every third Saturday in October on the New River Gorge Bridge in Fayette County, West Virginia, this is the only day each year thousands of spectators can walk across the bridge and watch as serious BASE jumpers get their chance to fly 876 feet into the Gorge below and rappellers ascend and descend from the catwalk. 

Come and enjoy the view from the bridge, one of the best overlooks in the New River Gorge!

This is a remote event open to all. Consultations with the doctor are done via video call. The cost is $95 for new patients, $85 for renewing patients to be paid with a debit or credit card directly to Elevate Holistics. There is also a $50 state registration fee payable online with checking account or by mailing a check or money order.

What you’ll need:

1. Your smartphone or device with access to your email.
2. Valid Photo ID: A copy of your driver's license, state ID, or passport.
3. Proof of Residency: a utility bill, vehicle registration, voter registration, or lease agreement to establish WV residency.
4. Debit or credit card for physician consultation fee paid directly to Elevate Holistics.
5. Checking account and routing number to pay $50 state registration fee online via ACH payment or you can mail a check or money order to the state.
6. Proof of income” if applying for the state financial hardship waiver.

Doors open at 6:30 pm, and the show starts at 8:00 pm

Tickets are $50 for heavy appetizers and the show.

Can’t make the show? You can donate until Oct. 6th.

Join us for their "hybrid-joint" social/support project with Team RWB on Silent Sunday at South Mtn Park! On Silent Sunday, the main road through the park is closed to vehicle traffic. We will have the opportunity to exercise and socialize by walking or biking (your choice) the main road. This is individually paced. While on the walk we will be picking up trash to beautify the park. We will meet at 7:45 am at the west end of the parking lot of the Ranger Station. Come through the Main Gate and take your first left. Continue down the road approximately 1/4 mile, and you'll see the Ranger Station and parking lot on your left. Dogs are welcome.

Did you know that Pittsburgh is home to one of the LARGEST and LONGEST running Veterans Days Parades in the Country? The Pittsburgh Veterans Day Parade has run every year since 1919.

Pennsylvania is home to the 4th largest population of Veterans- and Southwestern PA is home to many of them. It is our honor to remember the commitment of these men and women every year at the Pittsburgh Veterans Day Parade.

The parade features groups representing veterans of all eras, military units, civic and youth groups (including Junior ROTC), businesses, and more. Floats, military and vintage vehicles and other special elements add to the spectacle and excitement.
