Trulieve Celebrates 7 Years in Florida
As the nation’s largest multi-state cannabis operator, we are proud to bring both reliable relief and enjoyment to patients and plant lovers across the U.S. This month marks seven years since Trulieve opened in our home state of Florida as its very first medical dispensary, and we’ve been growing ever since.

A Timeline of Our High Points
- 2015: Founded and headquartered in Tallahassee, Florida
- 2016: Initial sales as Florida’s first licensed operator
- 2018: Added to Canadian Stock Exchange in September 2018
- 2021: First medical cannabis operator to welcome patients in West Virginia
- 2021: Merged with Harvest House of Cannabis in SW, creating the largest, most profitable multi-state cannabis operator
- 2021: Issued first Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report in the industry
- 2021: Opened 100th dispensary in the U.S. in August
- 2021: Opened 100th dispensary in Florida in October in our hometown of Tallahassee
- 2022: Awarded one of two Class 1 production licenses in Georgia
- 2022: Launched exclusive partnership with Wiz Khalifa to launch Khalifa Kush in Florida
- 2023: Launched adult-use sales in Bristol, Connecticut
- 2023: New 750K square-foot indoor cultivation facility in Florida begins production
- 2023: Opened Georgia’s first medical dispensaries in Macon and Marietta
- 2023: First adult-use sale in all three Maryland Trulieve locations in July
- 2023: Opening first dispensary in Ohio
