Trulieve Wins Minorities for Medical Marijuana Corporate Diversity Award

Trulieve Wins Minorities for Medical Marijuana’s Award for Diversity & Inclusion Corporation Champion of the Year

We extend our congratulations to the Trulieve team members who earned us the industry award for diversity, equity and inclusion efforts!

Trulieve is incredibly proud to have been named the Diversity and Inclusion Corporate Champion of the Year for 2022 by Minorities for Medical Marijuana (M4MM), a non-profit organization with a mission to provide advocacy, outreach, research, and training as it relates to business, social reform, public policy, and health and wellness in the cannabis industry.

The annual honor highlights the contributions to diversity and equity within the cannabis community by corporate, nonprofit, and individuals in the industry. Winners are recognized for the previous year’s leadership, efforts, and initiatives providing resources to the communities they serve.

Trulieve’s dedicated DEI team actively pursues a mission of ‘Cultivating Community.’ As an industry leading cannabis company with operations in multiple states, we are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion and supporting the communities where we operate. The purpose of our Community Outreach Program, on which the award is focused, is to bring awareness to the power of medical cannabis through education and community enrichment.

“As a purpose-driven company dedicated to ‘Cultivating Communities’ in the areas we serve, our team is so honored to receive this award,” said Trulieve Executive Director of DEI and Social Impact John Calloway. “Over the last year especially, we have made major strides to adjust the trajectory of our internal approaches, as well as our service to and presence within our local communities. Our impactful partnership with M4MM is making a significant impact to take action and instill DEI into the cannabis industry, and we can’t wait to see where 2023 will take us.”

By continuing to educate, the Community Outreach Program’s initiatives aim to break the stigma attached to cannabis, provide a greater understanding of its benefits and help deliver a positive impact to patients and consumers across a wide range of backgrounds and needs.
